The car they made in #engineering class and #capybara were used to measure #velocity and #acceleration. I love the sound of ticker timers in the morning! #physics

bsky.app/profile/theg... @bankphysics.bsky.social Felix’ death reminded me of Kittinger’s record fall cited in LC #Physics 2012. 31km vs 38km I often show the Felix video in class. #Felix I won’t comment on his political views.

Stunning video montage of just the last two weeks on our dangerously overheating home planet, from the excellent team at @weareyellowdot.bsky.social.

It can be hard to keep up with the #climate 💩 that’s happening but this really helps.
Meanwhile, everywhere: "Things aren't just getting worse. They are getting worse faster."

Sad and beautiful poem
RIP Paul Durcan.

This was the first poem I read by him, and it absolutely broke me.

This is so true. The assumption that learning facts and the ability to think creatively are mutually exclusive is bandied about in education circles. There isn't enough time to learn everything by discovery. We have to learn from those who have lived before us.
You can’t connect the dots if you don’t have any dots.
