Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve been back on here… Threads was nice for a time, but how quickly they decided it too should be like Twitter, where I deleted my account.

I hope this site takes off, but don’t forget, the guy who originally created Twitter came up with this!

That and my Threads feed is one post, then dozens of scantily clad women advertising their onlyfans in the comments.

Twitter is a dumpster fire, swirling the drain of its own mediocrity.

It’s 1:27 AM, I’ve just finished my #FuriousFiction submission and after writing a second entry, decided to go back and rewrite the first one. If I get showcased, I’ll post the first draft of it, so folks can see how far this story came. Editing is alchemy! Lead to gold! 😅

After explaining away the seagull poo on our car with a whimsical story of a baby pterodactyl who couldn’t hold until he got home, my two year old immediately said: “That was a no good story, Daddy. Never tell it again.” 😭

#NaNoWriMo progress is coming along! 20% in 5 days is happy progress!

#NaNoWriMo is on track thus far and today is excellent!

I wanted to get to 5k, but my brain devolved into a potato around 11:30 pm so I’ll settle with 4166 words after two days of #NaNoWriMo!

Also, I have to avoid the temptation to work on it at work. I have enough work to do there… but also… 🤔

Well, that was unexpected. The short story I just wrote for a competition decided it wanted to be told in second person POV. It feels right, but also oh so wrong.

Not sure if I should torture my writing group with it… after all they think I should be editing, which is fair. 😬

I have a few days until my fellowship application needs to be in and I’m crippled by self doubt.

I have read and reread my letter, synopsis, and first 10 pages that many times I’m going crazy. Tonight I stared at the screen and played with words.

I’m going to sleep on it. 😓

I’ve been rethinking my 1, 2, 5, 10 year goals. Best one for each year:
1 - Finish this rewrite on The Magician’s Curse
2 - Finally Find a Publisher
5 - See the end of this Trilogy Published
10 - Be welcomed to an author panel with @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com anywhere in the world.
