Redesigned my crystal holder based on the first tests. the little light accessory I grabbed to set it on worked much better then I expected, so Its basically that, but with a little rotation potential.

rigging leds! setting up lights to turn on an off in blender can be kind of a pain, so I like to use geonodes! here I made each light a check box, but Ive also used binary strings before. Binary is easier to match to irl data, but is also easier to input wrong

3d of a real studio ghibli DVD player. these were introduced in 2002, tho Im not sure how long they made them. I like the kid sized 2nd remote with only the most important buttons.
