Ive gotta convert my AI frustrations into more educational stuff. Ive tutored atleast a couple hundred of people over the years and failing/learning/fighting art is a fucking amazing thing to do. The actual progress people make and the personal ability to express yourself is priceless.

I am concerned with the fact that Bluesky has not rescinded its new Community Guidelines regarding fictional sexual content and the stigmatization of mental illness, including self-harm, suicide, and substance abuse. Rather than banning this content altogether, creating further moderation tools would be beneficial to ensuring Bluesky remains a space that respects free speech while also allowing for people to customize their experience, including with sexual and "sensitive" topics. Fictional content related to non-con, dub-con, or “dangerous” kink content has no right to be entirely disallowed for simply existing FICTIONALLY. There is no such thing as “degenerate” art, and enforcing that arbitrary, imaginary divide between morally “good” and “bad” art is FASCIST. Allowing corporations, governments, etc. to regulate morality (especially in fiction) will only lead to demonization and even dehumanization--first of people engaged in sex work and other related professions, then of people deemed “immoral” or “dangerous” in other ways, like queer, trans, disabled, immigrant, etc. people. You CANNOT outlaw one thing for being “immoral” and “dangerous” without opening the floodgates to outlawing other things arbitrarily deemed “immoral” and “dangerous” to a corporation, government, etc. This is exactly what happened to Jews, Roma and Sinti, homosexuals, disabled people, etc. in Nazi Germany. Dehumanization is an integrally important step toward genocide, and censorship of "degeneracy" (even if you're not calling it that) allows people in power to decide what counts as "degenerate"--worthy of censorship & extermination. When will "not allowed to be seen" turn into "not allowed to exist"? Because it will; this is not a hypothetical. As a historian of the Holocaust and Germany, I implore you to reconsider these terms of service that will cause a whole lot of damage to REAL people (rather than the FICTIONAL art you're banning). What you should understand when you wonder why sites like Substack host nazis and ban porn, and why devs on Bluesky are dismissive about concerns about the TOS - it's because a bunch of the "intellectual" tech industry does literally believe that porn is worse than hate speech.

Why (who takes offense at being considered a moderator rather than an owner) takes this extreme offense-as-defense position of proactively painting their critics as rape fanatics, which is the reddest of red flags
