Also go by SobbyBirch in some places. He/Him/They/Them, 25. Mostly just reply to stuff, but maybe I'll chuck a few opinions about whatever I'm playing/listening to out here and there.

Experiencing my first love rn and it's such a good feeling.

It's really funny that the way I realised I loved them for sure rather than thinking I might was them pressing our sandwiches together and saying "they're kissing" though.

If anyone's looking for some manga, manhua or manhwa to read I strongly suggest:

How do we relationship? (Lesbians with seemingly realistic trauma)

That's My Atypical Girl (Autistic girl stalks depressed mangaka, fall into mostly wholesome relationship bar codependancy)

the forced self-censorship gibberish we all have to do on social media now is having a devastating effect on the way people communicate with each other. nobody in a healthy society is saying "unalived"
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

I took a break from my webgame because I've not really had much time, or frankly desire, to update it.

Made a websites for funsies recently, and it links to the webgame. Maybe this'll force me to pay attention to it, knowing some people may actually like...see the webgame.

IDK.

Check my site tho.

I've been dating someone recently and things are going really well.

The only downside is the algorithms have picked up on this and the shitpost : cute things ratio is *FUCKED*

Savage Beastfly can suck my entire ass.

On a related note, Silksong automatically equipping new crests is hilarious because doing the jumping sections after getting used to diagonal pogo and then having your diagonal jump change into an spinning arc is one of the funniest 'fuck yous'.

This is a random stream of conciousness, but I fucking love this game called "Night in the Woods" and regularly look at fanart for it; it's super weird to me though because pretty much every artist that does a "human version" of Mae (who is stylised cat) make her really thin for some reason?

Emma Aibara makes cool stuff.

"i can't go back" is a wonderful bit of music, really floaty ethereal feel to it despite having such a sick guitar riff and drums cutting through the quiet.

I reformatted the page, added a couple other test items, fixed the item names overflowing the boxes and added in the beginnings of the location system.

Need to make some art or something for the locations down the line...

Next step is location linkage (i.e you're here, you can go here).

I feel completely lost with "Gen Z stare" popping up. It's just not real, right?

Generally when I see these "XYZ generation trend" things that go viral, I kinda get where it comes from - or at least I can just attribute it to older folk being grumpy as I will be in time.

I'm just lost here.

Recently I decided to start making an incremental game just as a little hobby project, only spent a couple hours on it so far but it's good fun.

I've only ever coded in C, specifically doing embedded systems design so working with JS is...interesting.

Why is it that doing chores feels impossible when I want to do chores on purpose, but doing chores feels very easy when I'm doing them to keep my hands busy so I don't fidget while talking to someone phone :L

they can't even see me, it's not like if I waggled my legs or span in my chair they'd know

I can't tell if the fact I'm excited to try out my new vacuum cleaner, despite knowing that the moment I actually do start cleaning I'll go straight back to hating it, is very childish; a symptom of undiagnosed ADHD or just what being an adult is.

Finished 'The Flatshare' - very cute book, surprisingly funny too.

Only real critique is that it's kinda difficult to get used to the style of dialogue where it's written like:

Me: I say a thing
Dave: that thing is like this thing
Simon: haha what an interesting thing
Me: yes, another thing

Considering most of what I do here is yap about games I'm debating setting up a blogger or something to post some full-length reviews.

Always feel like I want to be more verbose when I talk about a game and it feels awkward splitting my commentary over 2-3 posts even if I say little in them.

I'm starting to get genuinely confused by how many people are using LLM's for random shit like it's google, or summarising documents and whatnot.

Even if I put aside my dislike for generative AI in concept alone, it's bewildering to me - it's wrong so often and can get you into serious trouble.

Started playing Avowed. The discussion around this game has been quite confusing to me, I've seen so much high praise and a fair bit of people utterly slamming it - while that's probably just internet algorithms doing they're thing I have to say:

It's okay.

Like, that's it. It's fine. 6.5/10.

Picked up Flowers for Algernon to read for my book club, thumbed through it at lunch today and then proceeded to read essentially the entire thing at home.

Good god this book is fucking GRIPPING. I consider myself somewhat stoic, yet I'm currently ugly crying and struggling on the last 20 pages.
