Sneakily permitting fascism cannot be tolerated.
One more thing: Punchbowl reports that some Democratic senators are considering allowing the CR to proceed to a floor vote, lowering the threshold from 60 to 51 votes. Any such vote is the same as a vote for the CR but with even less integrity. Please encourage your colleagues to be better than this

My latest piece for @teenvogue.com delves into the horrific story of popular skincare ingredient Retin-A.

Before Retin-A was approved by the FDA in 1971, it had been tested on hundreds of incarcerated Black people in Philadelphia, without their informed consent. The survivors still bear the scars.
The miraculous wrinkle-erasing, acne-fighting cream, is the result of decades of horrifying medical abuse.

This is a really, really great project. Physical spaces are hard to come by in New York and some wonderful organizers have put a lot of work into fostering one in the middle of Brooklyn. They could use your support!

Inhumane, harmful, and solves absolutely nothing. This is an attempt to disappear problems without addressing any underlying issue.
The Fremont, CA city council has passed a homeless ban that outlaws camping on public property and also prohibits "aiding or abetting" homeless encampments.

This could lead to people being arrested just for handing out food or water.

Solidarity ❤️
Did you see our public display of affection (PDA) in Bloomfield today?

We decided to do this because we believe in the power of small public acts of connection with strangers. these kinds of actions make us feel inspired, motivated, & LESS ALONE.

If we allow the State to expand its repressive apparatus, it will be used against all of us.

This moment demands organization, mobilization, and resistance that may seem unprecedented. But our ancestors and people around the world have already shown us the way.
The real fight against Musk’s coup started when federal workers and DC residents took direct action, blocking the billionaire’s minions at OPM.

Now the rest of us need to join them.

We need to understand that the rules are out the window, and this is a real fight.

We know social media alone will never liberate us, but we remain grateful for the frequent reminders that thousands and millions of people want liberation, want a better world, and are eager to find ways to make that vision a reality.

Trump's attack on climate progress is premised on several things, but one is the false idea that we don't have enough energy production. The U.S. has more than enough to meet its needs, and what we need to do is both reduce consumption and pivot away from fossil fuels, urgently.

Mutual aid is not just a disaster response, it’s a way of caring for one another, building stronger communities, and preparing for whatever life may throw at us next. It’s a labor of love—and a way of life.

We will not go numb under the barrage of Trump attacks. He wants us scrambling, confused, distracted. Instead we can and will laser focus on collective liberation, on what it takes to get from here to there, on the cultures and institutions we need to create to build a world where everyone is free.
