This is next weekend; it's our first gig for months and last for some time. It's also an absolute embarrassment of riches, just look at it..

It's Bandcamp Friday, gang, which means that for one day, Bandcamp waives all fees, so artists get 100% of the dough from sales.

We've reduced the price on all things 'This Blue Earth' so head to to theshipbuilders.bandcamp.com to fill your boots.

We had a praccy tonight, exclusively working on new stuff. It felt - and sounded - amazing. Albums One and Two were written pretty concurrently, so this felt like getting back to basics, starting from scratch.

It felt like the early days again; exciting & fresh. Album 3 will be HUGE.

I doubt I'll be quitting the day job anytime soon with marketing ideas like this. Still, The Pottery Throwdown, eh? It's Fynn's to lose, surely?!

Oh, and someone please giz a big cheque to spend on recording our new album, it's *dead* good

..just a little boost of this, for the evening shift..
Matty found his old iPod this week, with about 20 years worth of music thought long lost - so we thought we'd share some of it

Listen to the Sunday Service here for a mix of Georgian Folk, rockabilly, Rajasthan ragas and recordings of shortwave spy stations..

@petepaphides.bsky.social Your interview with Guy Garvey today was phenomenal, Pete. The Musical Youth bits in particular were so enlightening. Nice one!

Throwback: Pistol Pete Higham, in the studio, absolutely transforming 'Daydreaming' with his surging brass line.

The man with the horn, indeed.

What a guy.

Throwback: The wonderful Victoria Reid of The Mono LPs played some cello for us during the recording of 'This Blue Earth', including the gorgeous, swirling parts she laid down for 'La Dolce Vita'.

Hearing this in the studio was a real 'hairs on end' moment. Glorious.

That’s stunning to hear the cello part on its own 💙

The Shipbuilders' delayed Staff Christmas Night Out.

An absolutely great set of lads.

After recording our sensational album 'This Blue Earth', a record label raved about how much they loved it, but didn't want to pick us up, as our social media wasn't up to scratch.

No idea what they meant by that.

Might make a concept album about this persona. "Just a crazy centrist, with a crazy dream.."
I'll call it 'Hashtag Satire'.

Not really. But a double album *is* coming next, providing that fugging lunatic hasn't had us all blown up, so God help us all either way.

Oh, our shining stars and body.

We released our second album this year, and things like this make it all seem worthwhile.

In the latest Violette Newsletter, Jasmine Nahal picks a song of ours as the best thing she's discovered this year - in stunning, beautiful fashion.
Thank you.

Across the land, over Christmas dinners, families are debating the only pressing issue of the day - the best track on THIS BLUE EARTH.

What says us, gang?!
