We're The Sensemakers Club - where overthinking is a superpower and clarity comes through connection.

We run daily discussions on 20+ topics and our hosts have been trained to create intentionally inclusive spaces.

The most valuable members aren't the loudest voices in the room—they're the ones who notice who hasn't spoken yet, who create openings for quieter perspectives, and who understand that true contribution often means making space rather than filling it.

"There's value in really knowing what you don't like to do and trying to steer more towards things that emphasize the qualities you enjoy.”

Sometimes our greatest service isn't offering solutions or advice—it's sitting with someone in their struggle, letting them feel truly seen without rushing to fix what they're experiencing or diminish what they're feeling.

You might meet researchers navigating dismissed insights, project managers learning when to protect their teams, and practitioners turning horror stories into helpful patterns for others.

The roles we inhabit within community aren't handed to us—they grow naturally from the ways we create space for others to be seen, heard, and held.

the biggest obstacle isn't clients who misunderstand the work. It's colleagues who fail to create protective boundaries when things get difficult. Stakeholder pushback we can handle. Being left to navigate chaos alone by our own teams? That's the real problem.

Our polished presentations sell ideas, but they don't invite collaboration. We mistake beautiful diagrams for good thinking—and we're launching products that solve the wrong problems entirely.

The value we bring to community lives in our reliability, not our grand gestures.
November 10, 2025 at 6:00 PM
The prettiest solutions often solve the wrong problems. When we prioritize polish over process, we mistake fidelity for completeness—drowning in information that looks authoritative but lacks substance.

We keep treating community as the means to an end—a way to grow our business, advance our careers, or solve our problems. But what if the community itself is what we're here to build?

"You don't need to be formal. In fact, you make it incomprehensible for a variety of people by doing that. By using this formal language and extra words that you don't really need, you can just choose one word to capture that whole sentence sometimes.”

Whether you're learning scales, meditating on breath, or mastering a craft—repetition is how we move from thinking about every step to just knowing. The body learns, the mind learns, and eventually you stop actively thinking. You just do.

We've turned people into tools for advancement when they were always invitations to transformation. Shift the question from "what can I get?" to "who am I becoming in this constellation of humans?”

You might meet librarians doing accessibility right, language enthusiasts fighting jargon, and plain language advocates who know that if you want to see clear communication in action, watch someone who serves the entire public work their craft.
