Sets for Batman Returns were kept very cold for the comfort of the real-life penguins involved. This meant that cast/crew repeatedly got sick during filming. The real-life penguins though would often fall in love with their animatronic counterparts or feel so settled that they began mating.

Hegseth was wanting a Christopher Columbus moment
DOD contractors “mistakenly” landed on a Mexican beach, declared it US property and planted “restricted area” DOD signs, triggering a tense confrontation with armed Mexican forces.

Mexico removed the signs, insisting the area is theirs.

Yet another example of total incompetence.

An important fact on why vote by mail and early voting are so important
I am once again reminding people that making election day a national holiday would disenfranchise the customer service and tourism industry, who never get holidays off. It's not a progressive position, it's one that prioritizes middle and upper classes.

Vote by Mail and early voting are much better

Just when I think they can’t get anymore disgusting, nope new levels of despicable are uncovered.
The Coast Guard will no longer classify swastikas and nooses as hate symbols.

This action, coupled with the President's call to hang Democratic members of Congress - both in the past few hrs - are more than "potentially divisive."

They are vile, unconscionable, and dangerous.

Parents keep sending their kids to school sick. The teachers get sick. So do the subs. Hi I’m the sub. I’m sick. Now what. It’s a systematic problem.

I genuinely think we should bring back Home Ec, Wood Shop, Auto Shop, where math and reading have practical applications and see if scores go up. I couldn’t do algebra to save my life, but in business math the formulas made sense. Giving kids diverse learning opportunities may improve outcomes.

I’m curious if this is going to impact California’s implementation of their new maps. It was sold as a way to counter Texas. If Texas is not redistricting will California continue forward?
My legal team will be in federal court in North Carolina today fighting against the state's unconstitutional redrawn congressional map. Before you listen to those in the GOP who say we can't win, ask Texas how that worked out for them.

When Texas tried to steal 5 seats, I said to watch the litigation my law firm had filed because we had a good chance of winning in court. Today a federal court BLOCKED THE MAP.

While the legacy media ignored our case, Democracy Docket covered it from gavel to gavel. Subscribe now. hubs.ly/Q03M8rql0

This is amazing!!!!
I want to take a moment to thank the entire Elias Law Group team who worked on the Texas redistricting case as well as our fearless clients. The thirteen Black and Latino voters we represented stood up to challenge Texas's unprecedented mid-decade redistricting. We all ow them a debt of gratitude.

If trump is saying release the files are we trusting the files are complete? At this point they are probably so heavily redacted/edited/culled it will be meaningless. Hope to eat my words

Im subbing in a preschool class today where a student’s first day was Wednesday. Hard enough to have a sub your first few days of school. Then come to find out her dad was taken by immigration the same day when he went to his appt. She’s inconsolable and keeps asking when her mom is coming back.

Remember when the Democratic Party party turned on David Hogg for suggesting we should primary the types of senators who would do shit like fold in half at the worst possible time, resulting in millions of Americans getting fucked over a barrel?
