fwiw yes RAM sticks are a thing but not for every computer & mine does not have the right slots you need for it. which is why I'm salty. bc i just want a thing i can plug into my laptop to give it extra oomf power when i need it. i don't need a shit ton of RAM most of the time

i wish there were easier ways of boosting the amount of RAM you have bc I have an addiction to VOSviewer and my poor little 16GB macbook is not a fan of it
