I know so much feels like a dumpster 🔥 right now. So much hurts. This is exactly when we need your creative voice. This is when we need art most. Keep creating. Keep making. #artmatters #keepcreating #artsaveslives
I know it’s hard to keep creating these days, when everything is a 🗑️ 🔥. But trust me, we NEED your creative genius more than ever, your kind & innovative vision, your messy magic. Keep going. Trust your process. We need you. 💫 #artmatters

Something about writing & receiving handwritten mail is so comforting and encouraging, especially with the world in its current chaos and cruelty.

I’ve been watching brilliant birds as they peck through the dog yard. Gross, I know. But they find nourishment even here. Artists & writers have done this since forever. Right now the muck is more prevalent than ever. But we can still seek out beauty & life in the mess.

This. This. This.
I don't think it was pain that made him so great, I think painting brought him whatever happiness he had.

More poetry this year. More wandering in the woods & oceanside. More art & making creative messes. More connection with people who support and celebrate kindness, messy humanity, and realness. More laughter. More ragged hope & determined dreams, despite/because of it all. Please.

Did you know your iPhone has a Background Sounds option under Accessibility, Audio/Visual? I just learned this. It can layer with music, so right now I’m listening to rain sounds on top of Zoe Keating cello music. So soothing.

I just saw someone asking if they could get “a full set of acrylics” for under $50 for their birthday. I thought, Wow, I could use some acrylic paint too, but it really depends on brand, but maybe a few decent Golden . . . Ohhhh, they meant nails. 🤣 #artistproblems #artistlife

Spending the last day of 2024 rearranging my new tiny studio, which I share with my kiddo (and the bedroom 🤣). We are setting up so we can both create much more art in the new year. What are you up to today? (If you’re working outside the home, I hope you get time to chill soon.) #artistlife

I'm bursting with excitement to tell you! I created a vibrant, joy-inducing printable planner for 2025. I designed it with my photos taken on the Oregon coast, added kind-hearted affirmations and mantras, and intentionally made the whole thing as kind and gentle and soulful as I could. 🥰

Where do YOU feel awake, alive, full of wonder?

For me: walking the woods, wandering ocean side, making wildly colorful creative messes, watching birds floating from tree to tree . . .

Hi friends! I’m an intuitive artist, writer, and creative encourager living on the Oregon coast. I believe messy creative play is essential for mental health, and art journaling specifically has helped me find calm in the midst of anxiety and depression. I’m a total bleeding heart liberal. Hi! 👋
