Also, I will forever say that wolfmen that carry more features of the base sapient creature are my preference to walking fursuit bipedal wolves when it comes to the idea of a "werewolf." They carry more of the transformative aura of being monstrous than just "snarly scruffy fursona".
I am now gripped with curiosity regarding species variants of werewolves. We've seen bog standard boring werewolves that are just bipedal wolves, but what if there were very clear traits borrowed from the species of the base creature?
