Important shit that I’m still trying to learn.
I am begging you. Please learn about stress/discomfort tolerance. Practice raising it. You need this to survive. If someone online can ruin your day with a throwaway comment, you desperately need to understand discomfort tolerance and consciously, systematically build that shit. Also! Stress tolerance is such an important skill that having a learning disability in that area is a major symptom of a whole lot of other disabilities/mental illnesses! Struggling with it is a huge part of life! It sucks! Am I saying everyone with misophonia needs to listen to chewing noises all day? No. But you need to find ways to tolerate it enough that you don't treat others like shit if they make a mouth noise near you. No, you don't have to read the fic with your trigger tags. But you do need to be able to handle scrolling past the tags without being upset. It is hard! But not having it also makes you so so so easy to manipulate. That grandma is racist AF because her mom raised her to be uncomfortable around black people and she never fought that discomfort. Trans people make so many cis people uncomfortable and that discomfort turns into bigotry real fast. Letting your discomfort dictate your actions and beliefs about things is a great way to become a terrible person. Learn. Discomfort. Tolerance.

I got asked a little while ago for some advice regarding how I draw my Ivalice Moogles - so I whipped up some quick style notes.

A set of style guide tips for drawing Ivalice Moogles. This page goes over body proportions, ear shape, the more bat-like nose & mouth that I use for them and why, and a general tip on drawing fuzz/fluff that can be applied to any drawing, but it especially useful for Moogles. The second page of the moogle style guide - this page has a focus on Ivalice Moogle clothing. It discusses the general triangle-like canon clothing silhouette for Ivalice Moogles, using their clothes to simplify their shapes, and exaggeration for more fun design. It rounds it all out by saying that none of these are hard rules, and that Square can't stop you from going crazy - a Moogle dressed as Cloud Strife is at the bottom to drive home how versatile Ivalice moogles can be

The military employs child psychologists to learn how to make you think the recruiter is your friend. The recruiter is allowed to lie to you and makes more money if they do. The recruiter is paid a commission to groom children into cannon fodder. The recruiter will tell you you're special and will go into special smart soldier programs instead of combat. They're lying. The recruiter may tell you they can tell if someone can get PTSD or not and only recruit people like you, who won't. They're lying. The recruiter may tell you you'll be too busy attending free college (!!) to go overseas. They're lying. The recruiter may ask what countries you want to travel to and promise you bougie placements on military bases in those countries. They're lying. Even "It's just four years!" is a lie - the government is allowed to hold you past your enlistment period with a stop-loss order. The recruiter actually has zero power to decide anything that happens to you after you enlist and they more importantly don't care what happens to you. If you enlist, you will be brainwashed to make you willing to do things to other humans that you would never be willing to do today. You will be ordered to do things that will kill children. And you'll do them. The military is not the only way or even the best way for you to go to college or start a career. Military brainwashing will actually make you into a terrible university student because it degrades your ability to think critically and question your sources. Having PTSD and/or a TBI will make it harder to be a student and keep a job. Veterans' benefits suck these days. Being a veteran drastically increases your risk of homelessness, suicide, alcohol and drug dependence, prison time, and becoming an abuser to your loved ones. The military will expose you to chemicals that will drastically increase your chances of developing cancer. The military will withhold information about your rights to conscientiously object after enlisting. A lot can change in four years.
