Another I just finished. Medieval horror is probably my favorite genre and it’s criminally underrepresented but between “Pilgrim” and this as a follow up to “His Black Tongue” (which also rocked), Mitchell Lüthi is doing heavy lifting.

I don’t think I’m gonna hit my book goal for the year. I was optimistic but hit a couple hard slumps after reading some bangers and it wrecked my momentum.

Doing daily shit hits different while knowing the government you live under bankrolls genocides and commits violence against even its own people by weaponizing access to food. Just not losing your shit day to day is an act of insane self control.
