Project bikes are hitting the pavement. The next level of riding season is here!
This off-season's upgrades: Passing lamps (no pesky bar), flush gas cap and fuel gage, and new seat. Wasn't sure about the seat until I rode for a couple hours. HUGE difference, especially with the beach bars! I didn't have to keep a death grip without the windshield at 70+ mph

My first bike was a '85 XV700. I had to clean carbs, change oil, and do whatever it took to keep it running. I bought if from a guy getting a Fat Boy in '97. I had $0 and no car, but I NEEDED to have a bike! He let me pay him $100/mo so I could get on two wheels. Tells you something about riders...

When you can't ride motorcycles on a Sunday, make chili.

Getting anxious for riding season in the midwest...
Riding engages both hands, both feet and demands a level of attention that forces us to clear our minds of other distractions. It starts for many of us when we ride bicycles for the first time. In a picture, it’s this:

Good morning to everyone except the people defending or ignoring the Nazi salute Elon made at Trump’s event.

First non-PTO Saturday off in 25 years, so what do I do? Chain maintenance. 🤔😉😂

What’s for dinner tonight? Second revision on this recipe. My rule of thumb, when in doubt, add butter. 🤔🤞

Going to have to pull out the cask strength bourbon for this #vikings game.

The kids are hearing all the best swear-combos from this Marine Vet.

Ralphie’s dad has nothing on me

My son asked how long I would be yelling so loudly at the tv while watching the #vikings game.

I said until I lose hope.

Sign my son made in 2016 for the Women’s March in Jan 2017. Still up in the garage. Still relevant.

Shortly after Citizens United, Jimmy Carter issued a stark warning about the role of Big Money in politics. May we remember the truths that he told us — and act to remedy them. bit.ly/4j6N1cC
Jimmy Carter on the American oligarchy
He was a truth-teller. We should remember what he said — and act on it.

The Constitution allows the states to decide how their EC votes are distributed. Two options that are available right now are the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, and eliminating "winner take all." Nebraska and Maine currently use proportional allocation.
It's impossible to change the Constitituon on an issue that does not have bipartisan support. The Electoral College favors the GOP, so any effort at abolishing it is DOA.

I'm in the two week notice haze before moving to a new company. It's glorious, stress-free, and terrifying all at once and in waves.

Accepted an offer for Middle Management job #6 after a low-key search for 14 months. Industry #4 in my career. First day will be Jan 20, so it'll be nice to be fully focused on something productive.

Same. Also, would it kill the porn bots to like a post every once in awhile? 🤔🤦‍♂️
I've noticed a huge influx of Porn bots over the last few days. I suspect Musk is flooding Bluesky with crap accounts out of petty jealousy. Does anyone else think this could be the case?

Happy New Year to everyone except the people who decided to flip all health insurance deductibles back to zero today.

Is it a good sign to get an email and a text in the same day from the hiring manager that you are in the final two and they’ll call you tomorrow?

Sad to see the news of Jimmy Carter’s passing. A truly outstanding, service-minded citizen.

I only hope the funeral can be held and given its due honor and respect before Jan 20th.

Three hours of interviews and an exclamation of “We’ll definitely be reaching out to you,” only to hear crickets. The struggle is real.
