Enshittification = Merdification Enfin, la notion, qui désigne la dégradation qualitative des plateformes numériques, a trouvé sa traduction en français, adoubée par le quotidien de référence Le Monde. Concernant a priori les plateformes opérant en qualité d’intermédiaire, la « merdification » est en réalité généralisée et finit par affecter tous les logiciels et objets technologiques. En tant qu’artiste de la musique enregistrée, maniant comme il se doit la dernière technologie accessible, j’y suis particulièrement sensible.

Aujourd’hui paraît aux Éditions de La Table Ronde le beau livre Radio FG d’Olivier Degorce, un ouvrage qui retrace l’histoire de la célèbre radio dans les années 1990, alors qu’elle faisait office de hub pour les musiques électroniques émergentes – un rôle que l’on pourrait comparer de nos jours à celui de Rinse France. L’ouvrage s’appuie sur une riche iconographie : photographies, flyers, affiches et documents de presse réunis par Olivier, qui avait systématiquement documenté cette scène en pleine effervescence.
