A chronically depressed 29-year old retro gaming nerd with legitimately zero social skills and no future, stuck in Russia forever. No friends left IRL, too uncomfortable to chat with strangers online. Have never felt any sense of agency over own life.
My mother is the only person I regularly speak to in the whole world, yet unfortunately sharing physical space with my parents for any period of time brings me emotional pain due to our vast cultural differences. I do not want these people to shape my life, but I have nobody else to go to.

Pac-Man Master Museum by LackofTrack is a homebrew compilation of classic Pac-Man arcade games for Sega Master System based on disassembled Z80 code. A port of Jr. Pac-Man is included, making it arguably the best way to play the often forgotten sequel to Ms. Pac-Man.

Got denied service by my psychiatrist today due to supposedly not having an appointment, despite me successfully calling the clinic and claiming an appointment several days prior. And people may wonder why I absolutely do not trust other people with mundane tasks in everyday life.

I like the music in Joe Montana Football for Sega Genesis, but unfortunately the composers in that game are uncredited. Turns out that the IBM PC (DOS) version of the game uses the same music compositions and composers are actually credited right on the title screen along with other developers.

Something completely unpredictable has happened. I've started to enjoy playing American football video games.

Always be skeptical of people who use the term "Sega of Japan" when talking about video game history.

Can't connect to Pinball FX servers for several days. I'm starting to suspect Roskomnadzor breaking random Internet connections as usual. Everything to protect innocent citizens from evil pinball extremists dedicated to destroying Russia's traditional values™ through public pinball leader boards.

Oh yeah, there's an MSU-1 hack for Super Smash T.V. which replaces music with the original arcade soundtrack. Beam Software did an amazing job with their SNES conversion, but many of Jon Hey's music flourishes were unfortunately not replicated there.

Playing the playtest demo of RACCOIN: Coin Pusher Roguelike, it's fascinating how in this game you either lose or utterly break the game with no survivors, with no in-between outcome possible.

Does IrfanView use a different library for opening Photo CD (.pcd) files in 4 Base/16 Base resolutions from the one used for smaller image resolutions? Is there a reason for that?

Got some play time out of my New Nintendo 3DS XL after some time and, wow, what an ergonomics nightmare is this thing. I like Its numerous improvements over the original 3DS model, but it is pretty much impossible for me to hold the system correctly when actively using its D-pad.

An evil antisocial idea: make your SNES homebrew constantly make calls to the ST018 co-processor as a means of copy protection, so that your game can only be played on emulators and no reproduction cartridges could ever be created without cracking the game.

Apple // Bejeweled (2016) is the real deal. Plays really good on an old computer platform with game rules faithful to the original. #AppleII

This is Sergio of the Napoli Angels baseball team. Everything his bat touches turns into a home run. The real MVP.

Hotel Mario for Philips CD-i is actually a pretty decent game, despite the infamy surrounding it and the whole CD-i ecosystem, but from time to time it just stuns you with some absolute nonsense like this:

Why does the BlueSky app now default to the notifications tab whenever you launch the app? I don't want to be constantly reminded that I am lonely and nobody ever reads whatever I shout into the void. There's no apparent option to revert this. #bluesky

I hope that some day game roms used by MAME for Sega's 1988 Tetris arcade game get redumped, so that the missing background tiles issue visible in one particular stage can be resolved. The missing tiles are only relevant to set 3 and set 4 variants of the game running on System 16A hardware.

Ms. Candyman (1983) for [Bally] Astrocade is honestly one of the coolest little games I've seen, yet it is completely unknown to 99% of retro gamers. Fast action, unique enemy graphics, funny death animations, constant color changes, etc. It is very polished, despite being an indie game of its era.

Glad to learn that Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 64 lets you play single player portion of the game with the only controller being plugged into the fourth slot.

Did you know that Paul Romero, the acclaimed composer behind the music of Heroes of Might & Magic game series, had previously performed music on the infamous "The Flowers of Robert Mapplethorpe" compact disc for the Philips CD-i?

Finally reached the final car class in Project Gotham Racing 2 on Original Xbox after a long pause. Looking at the race list, it would be cool if the game had a final Cone Challenge set on the whole Nürburgring track, giving an opportunity to earn over one million Kudos all at once. 😄

Smooth Noodle Maps by Devo is a great album. It's unfortunate that it got buried by critics in 1990.
