My partner & I were trying to ID a bird we heard while walking and the guy who had stopped his car to let us pass got out and was like "it's a frog, actually. Cope's Gray. I do frog surveys... Sorry" And then got in his car without a word and drove off. Absolute king

Folks, meet Mapuna, a white kiwi who lives at Pūkaha wildlife centre.

Pūkaha needs urgent funding to stay open and look after manu taogna like him, they've only got about 10% of what they need so far.

Found myself agreeing with Winston Peters about the lack of respect and decorum in parliament though we have probably come to different conclusions about who is most at fault thespinoff.co.nz/politics/20-...
Winston Peters is right about parliament’s declining standards
One MP in particular has been at the heart of the decline, and his name rhymes with Shminston Smeeters.

Comment: Setting tougher tests for women seeking pay equity was probably never going to be a political winner, but the coalition made things much harder politically by acting in secrecy and with undue urgency, writes Tim Murphy.

Excerpts from Nicola Willis & Erica Stanford’s third reading speeches in FAVOUR of the landmark Equal Pay Amendment Bill.

The government should be ashamed of this surprise attack on women under urgency in their fight for equal pay.

The White Ferns! Happy to eat some humble pie there, I thought it would be a massive achievement for them to reach the semis let alone the final.

Congratulations to the 'Boks, was close in the end but deserved rugby WC champions. Rub of the green (aka TMO) didn't go our way today, but still an amazing effort to take it to the wire.
