How do you feel about a brand selling a bag made from 100% polyester for £170? If brands will not create products from recycled or sustainable materials because it's too expensive, I don't think there's an excuse for this. #fastfashion #overconsumption #plasticplanet

Monday ice update - #Arctic sea ice extent is currently the *lowest* on record (JAXA data)

• about 570,000 km² below the 2010s mean
• about 1,140,000 km² below the 2000s mean
• about 1,670,000 km² below the 1990s mean
• about 2,040,000 km² below the 1980s mean

Lovely walk round the Winter Garden in Sheffield yesterday, a reminder of how urban and nature can coexist. It's been over 10 years since I last visited, so I'm really happy it's still thriving and people are loving it 🪲

This is an infrared image of the Horsehead Nebula taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. The image shows a dark, horse-head-shaped cloud of dust and gas, known as Barnard 33, rising from a turbulent background of glowing gas and bright stars. The "neck" of the horse faces to the lower left. The image is dominated by hues of red and brown from the dust, with areas of blueish light outlining the edges of the nebula where it is being illuminated by surrounding stars. Numerous stars are scattered throughout the image, appearing as bright white points of light. The overall scene has a dramatic and majestic feel.
