I think everyone is being too harsh. While not the definitive version, the quality of life updates make this a great entry point for newcomers
They're remastering me in the quote reposts, my aesthetics aren't representative of the original artistic intent and the gameplay is slightly off.

Really liked the DQ3 remake, probably gonna skip 1 and 2 for now but hearing they’re practically brand new experiences is interesting. Will see how February looks, but might hold out for DQ8
