Sometimes I think that as a society, we've lost the ability to utilise tropes in a good way and thus everything is 2 1/2 hours and a gritty reboot. But also I'm full of bs so who knows

My Roman empire is DS9 being shot on 35mm but edited on vhs so in order to remaster it they would have to re-edit the entire series from scratch (and this is what they did for TNG) but because of Money we will never see it

Hot (obvious) take but I think movies like dune are lazy. I think they rely on celebrity faces to form an emotional bond with the audience rather than putting effort into making the characters interesting or sympathetic

I just think it's INTERESTING that in a G rated kids show, they didn't feel the need to provide ridiculous levels of exposition, yet in the M rated live action the audience is treated like they wouldn't understand that same level???? Like.....
