As I embark on my journey as a law student, I hope and pray that I can adjust well, given that I need to balance my work during the day and my studies at night on weekdays for the next four years, and that everything will go smoothly along the way.

The road to the Bar begins.
It's been 3 weeks since I entered law school, and I must admit that it is mentally and physically straining. But thanks to my faith in God, my very supportive newfound friends, peers, officemates, and especially my family, I am still holding on in my journey to become a lawyer, one step at a time.

Based on his latest statements, it's evident that Trillanes harbors deep resentment toward Mayor Leni. Statement after statement, he always jabs at Leni to the point that people are questioning his true motives. What he's doing is not only benefiting the real enemy; he's hurting the pink movement.

Mirroring his cowardly dad, Baste Duterte withdrew from his fistfight challenge to Gen. Nicolas Torre III. Baste laid down some crappy conditions before he could fight Torre, which are actually his excuses that he's not up to the challenge, a sign that his supposed "bravery" is merely verbal.

The 20th Congress will formally convene on July 28, but many lawmakers are now filing their key bills and other legislative measures as part of their campaign promises. Additionally, behind the scenes, they are forming alliances with other lawmakers in an effort to have their proposals prioritized.

A well-respected institution can gradually turn into a shadow of its former glory.

Gone are the days when senators debated each other using their oratorical skills and intelligence honed by their proficiency with the law without resorting to ad hominems and other forms of unparliamentary conduct.

This philosophy professor, whom I have labeled as "Mabaho" (since his last name is the Kapampangan translation of that word), from ADDU uses his expertise to justify Duterte's questionable actions, especially extrajudicial killings, in an era he calls "Radical Democracy."

Canadians elected this new government with a strong mandate: to define a new economic and security relationship with the United States, bring down the cost of living, and build a stronger economy.

This new cabinet is focused, ready, and built for this moment.

I was so elated after knowing that Bam and Kiko clinched the top 2 and 5 spots, respectively, for the Senate in the recently concluded 2025 Midterm Election.

The same feeling is also what I felt after Akbayan clinched the top spot for the party-list votes, thus earning them 3 seats in the HOR.

The Calm before the Storm.

Then, tomorrow is the 2025 midterm election.

Let's use this moment to reflect and discern who to vote for since there's a lot at stake.

Let's make sure we vote for candidates who have the skills, credentials, and, most of all, are advocates of good governance.

HABEMUS PAPAM

I hope Pope Leo XIV will continue the legacy of the late Pope Francis, whose inclusive and progressive governance has made a profound and lasting impact on the faithful and the entire Roman Catholic Church.

I will pray for the newly elected pontiff’s success.

The reason I decided to delete my X account is that it has encouraged high levels of toxicity among users, which took a toll on my mental health.

Instead of being a platform for free speech, it became a host for hate speech and toxic exchanges among ideological purists on either side of the aisle.

Support for Kiko and Bam is surging according to recent polls. They have doubled their efforts by adopting a more persuasive tone and implementing a more inclusive approach to campaigning, which has also helped them gain multiple endorsements from major political groups across the country.

The announcement that FVP Leni backed two (2) of Alyansa's senatorial candidates, Benhur Abalos and Manny Pacquiao, rapidly circulated in the news and across social media. I'm not sure what led Leni to support them, but it could be a strategic and practical way to aid her constituents in Naga City.

The Papal Conclave is a deeply spiritual and intricate assembly of the College of Cardinals, steeped in centuries of tradition, which takes place fifteen to twenty days after the official resignation or death of a Pope in order to elect a successor who will lead the Roman Catholic Church.

As a practicing Catholic, I cringe at my fellow Filipinos who think that the Papal Conclave is a popularity contest among cardinals in the Vatican, in which whoever is most popular will be elected as the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. This is truly an epic facepalm moment.

In our country, local-level elections are much more heated than national-level elections, as rival candidates hurl mud at each other through their employed trolls, engaging in ad hominem attacks.

Also, supporters are joining in by tearing down or covering the posters of their candidates' rivals.

Long before, during PRRD's presidency, his fanatics hated protests and rallies organized by activist groups and would often red-tag anyone associated with their actions.

Also, during PRRD's presidency, the same fanatics glorified the Marcoses, especially Marcos Sr., as the savior of the country.

NatDems and Fringe Leftists are using their usual dirty tactics again. They are antagonizing and throwing mud at liberals to boost their image and promote their own candidates, especially since the 2025 midterm election is fast approaching. This is why the opposition can't form a united front.

Billionaire Enrique Razon's clear grip on Iloilo politics is becoming visible and deeply entrenched as time passes by. His political vehicle, the National Unity Party, has been an influential driving force in the area. His actions are comparable to those of his fellow billionaire Danding Cojuangco.

A stark reminder for Filipinos ahead of the upcoming 2025 Midterm Election is that political families supported by oligarchs are still vying for power and influence.

These families have selfish ambitions and no genuine concern for the populace, especially during a cost-of-living crisis.

The mental regression and cognitive decline of fervent Duterte supporters have become increasingly prevalent and concerning, especially given the troubling state of politics in our country.

Their impulsive behavior and illogical arguments are proof of this since the arrest of FPRRD by the ICC.

I'm completely appalled and disgusted that Duterte's rabid supporters, which include some of my Facebook "friends," had the gall to react with a laugh emoji to a post made by Jake Ejercito about Kian Delos Santos, who was killed by policemen empowered by the Duterte administration in 2017.
