A hard book to read, more violent & vengeful than I like, almost quit 11 chapters in, but it has some moving character arcs, messages, solid twists and surprises, good heart. Not sure whether I’ll read more by him, glad to have read this.
Nothing but the Bones - Brian Panowich

This has been a really rough few days. I recently learned of a controversy around our book THE PRINCESS IN BLACK AND THE PRINCE IN PINK. Some were outraged that Deseret Book carried it (a chain of bookstores in the west). Deseret Book appears to have complied to their demands and removed it. 1/

Happy Halloween! Action shot. Older kiddo agreed to be Bobby for the photo before changing into a creepy ventriloquist dummy. #kpopdemonhunters #derpytiger #rumi

I got inspired and made these KPop Demon Hunters masks for Halloween. Paper mache and a lot of figuring it out as I went along. Youngest is going as Rumi and we thought she could use the backup. Pics when we’re all in full costume. Lots more details to finish. #kpopdemonhunters #derpytiger

The scale and beauty of Yosemite are unbelievably spectacular. It was a little eerie and sad without park rangers (fed shutdown), but many things were still up and running thanks to the Conservancy and businesses.

Something we missed while the library was closed for renovations, browsing the stacks. Took kiddo to the grown up nonfiction section and he’s loving it. I think we checked out 50lbs of books yesterday. #kidlit #books #science #knots
