I know our conversation at this week's "what can artists do?" event was 90% focused on actions *beyond* our actual art - fundraising, signal-boosting, etc. (here are the notes: guante.info/what-can-artists-do)...

But like, you still have to make the art. If only for yourself. Here's a poem I wrote.

Before people yell at me, I know not everyone is trying to be "helpful" with their posting. Some are just letting off steam or voicing their truths or whatever. But what we choose to share during a crisis can have ripple effects.

I was with my family this past weekend for the Holidays and as usual whenever I have downtime during I get out my Ipad to work on my comic. But it doesn't take long before I have a niece in my lap requesting that I draw something for them. I never get much work done, but I never expect to.

Harper was in a bit of a mood, Initially it was the same girl with a different expression but for the angry one she said I needed to change the hair because it looked like her hair and people with hair like her weren't angry... which is hilarious. Drawing 3 - Drawn for Brooke, Age 8. A grey muscular cat girl flexing and wearing jean shorts with a tank top that has a flexing art on it... Don't ask me where this one came from. I swear I didn't influence her AT ALL!

2025 has been a year of a lotta upheaval and big changes for but I've also done so much drawing for my comics! 345 panels of #TFBC, 162 panels of #ITWM... plus 2 covers, some fan art, patreon art, commissions, design work, and I vended at 14 cons/markets!

Hell I'm tired.

My mom and I have reached Texas and are all set up at Anime Frontier! This is the first time come to a convention with me and as much as it was a long drive, having her along makes things so much less stressful and there's no one I would rather have making the trip with me. ❤️
