Watching the unflinching determination of Minneapolis resisters this past week, it reminded me of this old Tumblr post about the RMS Carpathia's response to the Titanic sinking. When things seem futile, I like to give this a reread to remind me that we're far more capable than we realize.

Watching the unflinching determination of Minneapolis resisters this past week, it reminded me of this old Tumblr post about the RMS Carpathia's response to the Titanic sinking. When things seem futile, I like to give this a reread to remind me that we're far more capable than we realize.
If there's a more poignant social critique of the current state of western Democracy than this new release from Ren, I've yet to see it!! I'm by no means a huge fan of rap, but this is so on point and poetic. It's a 10-minute watch (turn CC on). Oh, and Act III is breath-takingly heart-wrenching. 😎

I wish some researcher would conduct a new study to see what kind of correlation exists between lifetime distance traveled by Americans and their political views/affiliation. Most MAGA types I know rarely leave their regional comfort zone, let alone venture outside the U.S.
