@govpritzker.illinois.gov and the Illinois state police str are doing ICE’s dirty work.
“They literally ushered us into the street to protest and immediately after started beating the shit out of us.”

This is 100% an accurate description of how this started.

Broadview PD mishandled the situation from the start, then unleashed ISP to beat the protesters they’d led into the street.

Protesters have said state and local police officers have attacked them and tried to stifle their attempts to speak and protest freely outside the Broadview ICE facility.

Once again, @govpritzker.illinois.gov's state police have attacked protesters while doing crowd control for ICE in Broadview. Pritzker positions himself as a Trump opponent, but he's doing ICE's dirty work in Broadview. It has to stop.

In advance of #NoKingsDayOct18th, I beg you: don't leave out Trump's attacks on homeless ppl as part of his authoritarian takeover.

Trump openly talks about rounding up homeless folks and forcing them into detention camps. This threat is now backed up by policies and budgets.

“Multiple NLG Legal Observers were also hit in the heads with large clubs….. Legal Observers who are clearly marked with bright neon green caps.”

Why is our governor using the Illinois State Police to do the bidding of ICE/ Trump by cracking down on free speech with the use of excessive force?

I called the called @govpritzker.illinois.gov office to ask why he was sending ISP officers to assist ice at the protests in Broadview and was yelled at by the person who answered the phone for asking the question and then they hung up on me.

Super fun

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.
