Something strange is happening in the north. People go missing for a day, only to be returned… different. The returned will often do their usual work for a week or so, and then disappear into thin air, often leaving a window open into the cold winter.

The party is visiting a port town when they are approached about a small scavenging job. A ship had been disabled and abandoned a few leagues away. The party will join the crew of the patron’s ship and recover whatever they can.

A village is being tormented by their water well. Shrieks come from it in the night, and the water comes up blood red. Some have reported hearing whispers and cackles coming from deep within. They have surrounded the well with charms, but it does not work.
