For too long, Calgary City Hall has been stuck in gridlock — endless bickering, missed opportunities, and a failure to deliver on what Calgarians need most.

That's why @briantyyc.bsky.social is stepping up - to be your next Mayor, and build a Calgary that works.

We believe politics is a team sport — and this team is READY.
On May 10, The Calgary Party launched our slate, trained new volunteers, and took to the doors.

This is just the beginning. Calgary’s ready for change.

The Premier talks autonomy while ignoring treaty rights, trampling on cities, and pulling $2.1B from Calgary’s Green Line. Her renewables ban scared off $33B in investment. This isn’t strategy — it’s political theatre. #abpoli

Calgary is thriving — in tech, energy innovation, arts, and more. People move here for opportunity, not chaos. We succeed by building bridges, not walls. That’s Alberta’s real story: resilience, optimism, and community. #yyccc

Danielle Smith’s latest remarks are more of the same: divisive rhetoric, no real solutions. Instead of addressing Alberta’s challenges, she stokes separatist sentiment — and it’s Calgarians who pay the price. We need leadership, not distraction. #yyc #ableg #cdnpoli

And because all politics are local, I just signed up to volunteer for @thecalgaryparty.bsky.social in our upcoming municipal election.

If you feel strongly about a party or candidate, volunteer for their campaign. Do all you can. Politics are personal.

Calgary scored a D+ in financial transparency - it's time for change. This is why last fall we led with Budget Choice. Calgarians deserve transparency and accountability for how City Hall is spending. The Calgary Party and @briantyyc.bsky.social is committed to turning that D+ into an A+.

Calgary is more than just a place to visit, it’s a city to fall in love with. From the Stampede to our skyline, our small businesses to big ideas, our spirit is unmatched. Let’s build a city that welcomes the world—and makes them want to stay. #tourism2025 #tourismcan @tourismcalgary.bsky.social

I know everything is getting drowned out right now by the soon-to-be-called federal election but we’ve got municipal elections coming up this year in October. I’ve already signed on to support Brian and his team with my time. Have a look at what he has to offer:

Great op-ed by @hmcrae.bsky.social on the consistent undermining of Calgary's LAP process and vision by current councillors -- and how we can approach growth, engagement and our communities voices in a more positive way. #yyc #yyccc #calgarycouncil
Calgary's Local Area Plans are being leveraged by some Council members to stir up discontent among residents and stop our city from moving forward on important issues. @thecalgaryparty.bsky.social is committed to stopping the dysfunction on Council.

The Province is hiking your property taxes—without saying a word. A 17% property tax increase with zero consultation—and they’re making the City collect it so you don’t blame them. On top of that? You’re paying the admin costs to process their tax grab. #YYC #YYCCC

Alberta’s #Budget2025 should have prepared for this. Instead, it overlooked Calgary’s rapid growth and failed to provide the investments we need to attract and retain talent, while pushing property taxes even higher .

We’re thriving in tech and innovation in agrifood, energy and financial services – I’ve seen and helped those companies grow. But resilience and innovation won’t be enough this time. We need leadership that invests in Calgary’s future - in housing, infrastructure and transit.

Calgary workers and business will take a direct hit in the face of tariffs. The Canadian Chamber reports that we will be the second hardest hit city in Canada, with our energy sector taking the hardest hit. Calgarians have been smart in the last decade. We’ve taken steps to diversify our economy.

The tariff threat is going to hit Calgarian workers and businesses, while making it even harder for those who are already struggling to make ends meet. Calgarians have been smart in pursuing economic diversification - and more than ever that must continue to be a priority.
The backbone of Canada’s economy is built in its municipalities. Cities like Calgary drive economic growth, innovation, and trade—fueling both small and large businesses. In the face of this punitive and unnecessary trade war with the United States we must come together.

Our provincial government is committed to taxing Calgarians without providing corresponding investment back into our city. @thecalgaryparty.bsky.social is ready to address the imbalance.
Danielle Smith is back at it. This time it's costing you an avg of $239/yr on your property tax bill in the form of an education property tax.

Enough is enough. The Calgary Party is committed to ensure your property tax $$s stay in Calgary and fund our city's priorities.

. With the defeat of amendments to the Local Area Plans - this council voted: against housing, against affordability, and against Calgarians. If Council won't vote for LAPs that legalize transit oriented developments, then the Calgary Party will.
