While we allow writers to co-write a fic, and this is a collaborative event, signing up with an artist already defeats the purpose of the bang. A key part of the process of bangs is pairing writers and artists together through the anonymous claims process which was mentioned in our guidelines and faq. This is part of why we ask writers not to mention their concepts/wips until after claims, otherwise there will be a clear bias in the claiming process on the artist side. This bang is meant to connect the writers and artists in our creative community including meeting and engaging with creators you don't know or haven't interacted with before, and supporting each other in the creative process while bonding over your love for the craft. We encourage you and your artist friend to sign up individually for the bang, but we cannot guarantee that you will be paired together.
