wip wednesday… new project for the intergalactic fic fest… 👀
The last time Jimin was planetside, it was on a desert planet with miles-long craters, duststorms even larger, and plant life so tough and fortified that finding water was impossible if you weren't a local. And the locals lived in underground colonies. Jimin had never been so grateful to get off a planet. This planet was green, luscious, and effervescent. The canopy of trees blocked out all but pockets of the sun and grew on endless stacking cliffs and mountainsides, as though the planet were one rising and falling wave of overgrown rock. A chorus of clicks and trills echoed off and on in the forest depths. They reminded Jimin of crickets or locusts. And compared to the last planet this one exploded in color: flowers bloomed in brilliant scores of blue and purple, bright orange monkey-like creatures darted from tree to tree, and clusters of berries so green they glowed yellow hung on vines nearby. "Watch out for the shriekers," said Jungkook, a little too offhandedly for Jimin's taste. "They're like dragons except meaner. And they don't like offworlders."

I don't know if I could define it (or if there are any specific tells), but I think I definitely have a style/voice. even if I start something with a specific style or tone or theme in mind, I find I tend to trend back towards the norm the longer a story gets. it's just how my writing sounds I guess

Little bird gets cozy in its nest, we can assume that it lives here on JM's porch. Inside the house, JM hands JK and towel and a shirt. JM says: Here, put this on. JM puts some coffee on and grabs two mugs, taking a peek as JK tugs off his wet shirt. JM says: I didn't think you were gonna come; at least not until later. JK says: Was already out when it started pouring. Figured I'd might as well just get everything finished. JM pouring coffee into the mugs. JK with the dry shirt on puts the towel over his head and starts drying his hair. JM says: I'm your last stop right? JK says: Yeah JK takes a seat at the dinning room table and JM walks over to him with the coffees. JM says: Stay until it clears up out there. JM takes his apron off and gets cozy in his own seat. JK says: You don't mind? Looks like you were in the middle of working. Don't wanna interrupt. JM says: It can wait. Won't hurt for the dough to have a little extra time to proof. JK says: I'll take my time with the coffee then, thank you.
