Got in two solo games of #speakeasy by Vital Lacerda over the past day. Played both on the easy 'duck-soup' mode - got walloped in game 1 $500(!) - $247 but came back for a $297-$294 win on the 2nd. Will probably reset for another. #boardgames #sologaming #tabletopgames #bgg

Played a three-handed learning game of #speakeasy by Vital Lacerda. Fantastic gameplay, so much going on, but so richly thematic! It was worth the brain burn! Very much a table hog, barely squeezed this in without opening the table. Solo play coming soon

Full set up of a 3 player game of Speakeasy by Vital Lacerda. Full board is a map of New York City from the 1920's. Players place small buildings (stills, speakeasys, nightclubs, and casinos) on the map along with pawns representing mafia family members to protect the holdings. Red speakeasy buildings are for the game player as the outside mob breaking into the territory. The players also each have a player board (with blue in focus here) that holds extra buildings, capos used for worker placement actions on the main board, and barrels of rum and whisky to be made and sold during the game. Small money tokens earned during the game are shown above the player board. End game state for uptown in Speakeasy by Vital Lacerda. A section of New York City from 1920s is featured. Players placed various building (stills, speakeasys, casinos, and nightclubs) in certain districts of uptown Manhattan around Central Park. Blue mafia family members are placed near blue buildings to protect them from outside mob takeover during the game. Red speakeasys are placed where the game player (mob) has taken over. Central Park features 5 public goals each game that players complete for to earn money placed in their safes for end game scoring. Round city tile tokens in various districts represent one time bonuses available when building in those areas. End game state for downtown in Speakeasy by Vital Lacerda. A section of New York City from 1920s is featured. Players placed various building (stills, speakeasys, casinos, and nightclubs) in certain districts. Yellow mafia family members are placed near yellow buildings to protect them from outside mob takeover during the game. Red speakeasys are placed where the game player (mob) has taken over. Police pawns are slowly added throughout the city during the game to interfere with player operations. In the back of the picture is a yellow truck used to transport small barrels of illegal booze throughout the city. Round city tile tokens in various districts represent one time bonuses available when building in those areas.

Solo game Sunday with Heat: Pedal to the Metal by #DaysOfWonder. Tight formation on the USA map after the first corner. Alas, I spun on corner 3 and fell behind, ending in 4th place. Such an easy solo system to manage! #boardgames #tabletopgames

Excellent game of Masters of Crime: Vendetta by @kosmosgamesuk.bsky.social today. Very immersive, puzzles weren't too difficult, lots of choices to make that affected our outcome. One of the best of these mystery games that we've played. And it was on-sale at Amazon - thanks @tabletopbellhop.com

Got to try out an audio mystery card game from Ravensburger Games called Echoes: The Cocktail. Interesting game play, need to scan the cards into the app to hear snippets of clues that you use to put the cards in timeline order. Solved under an hour, good times #cardgames #boardgames
