“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.” -Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
"[Mao's] minions [...] exiled members of the urban bourgeoisie to the countryside for reeducation." Fast-forward & "Bessent recently told Tucker Carlson that fired federal workers could supply 'the labor we need for new manufacturing.'" War against intellectuals is right on cue. See: bit.ly/4ipCKH6

I was looking for a safe, reliable sedan or crossover in the next 12-18 mos. With the increase on cars & parts, it means I buy nothing. Someone snoozed through the lesson about Smoot-Hawley, but not me. Getting ready - farm equipment tariffs, no USDA programs, climate change all mean pricey foods.

Klewe posted, "The problem with trying to ride a tiger, is you eventually come to realize there is no safe way to get off the tiger." To the tiger, people are food, toys to break, annoyances to silence. All people. Regardless of language, skin color, or tribe. Assurances of safety are an illusion.

As in Project'25, a blunt ax to Medicare, Medicaid, SSA, NOAA/NWS, FAA, USPS, etc. w/ passive congressional approval. Rollbacks & restorations are lies for the cameras while Musk's replacing public services w/ profitable contracts. Turns out, there's more than four horsemen and it's nearly midnight.

In spite of knowing that the "Heart of the Ocean" could bring long-term financial security for her family, Rose prioritized her ego & yeeted it into the sea. That's tariffs. Sacrificing the financial security of millions without a care in the world as to the consequences. See: youtu.be/f2gI9xh-ufs

If those sworn to "protect & defend" the Constitution disregard its contents, if laws passed by the legislative & signed by the executive aren't respected, if the executive turns its back on the judicial's rulings and injunctions, the seams of the republic are undone. That which remains is mob rule.

Trump and Karoline are setting up the next set of "others" by saying it's "common sense" to blame "DEI" (with no evidence of causation) for everything from inefficiencies to tragedies. Pure irony to send this message as someone of a protected class. Article: bit.ly/3CjrDAw & Video: bit.ly/3Ek6WFb

Like a modern flyer drop, vids reminding us that "Canada is your friend" are airing now. Meanwhile, where it held 779 max before, Gitmo will now be stuffed with ~30,000 people nabbed by ICE. No cameras. No witnesses. Same timeline. Different century. See: tinyurl.com/ontario25, tinyurl.com/gitmowiki

When asked about the freeze on school lunch funding, Rep. McCormick (R-Ga.) said child labor was the solution. When reminded that many kids couldn't work legally (PK-9), he laughed. PS> If your district takes help, avg. cost to quiet a rumbly tummy is $3/meal. See: www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

Along with student loans/grants (paid to universities), care systems like meals-on-wheels & research of all sorts, US farming is in trouble today. Loss of H-2A migrant harvesters and no FSA loans for seed, equipment repairs. Farms are businesses, not individuals. See: www.bbc.com/news/article...

Search for "Luis Janota" or "Theresa Hatathlie." This week, Puerto Ricans and Native Americans (aka US citizens) were the newest faces to join an old story. Read ahead: archive.org/details/maus...
