After years of being wary of CBT, it annoys to admit that I’ve been trying it myself to combat my fears about my first week on this new job and that it has been effective. The “Original Sin” of Slavery is baked into this country’s DNA, and we have NEVER reckoned with it. I’ve long felt that the karma of it has been hanging over us all, just waiting for its moment to strike.

Probably not a good sign when I look at realistic possible futures for myself and “dying in a nuclear fire” is in the top half of most desirable outcomes.

The brain is so fascinating. Last night I had a dream that was a direct sequel to a dream I had months ago and had completely forgotten about. I probably forgot about that dream within a few hours of having it. Yet my brain stored those details and saw fit to revisit them in my dream last night.

I've been thinking a lot about that bumper sticker which says "everything looks like a conspiracy theory when you don't understand how anything works" and folks it's pretty obvious to me that the people in power right now have absolutely no desire to understand how anything works.

Was about to go on my first date in over a year but got blatantly stood up and then ghosted. Guess I’ll be spending some more quality time with wine and my PlayStation 5 tonight. Maybe I’ll start another playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077; at least in that game cool people want me!

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons

Clinic in town wants to charge me thousands of dollars for freezing eggs but I can buy a dozen at the grocery store and freeze them at home for no extra cost. Checkmate, clinic.
