The reason it’s BAD to use a lot of Salbutamol/Atrovent is:
1) tachyphylaxis
2) it means their asthma isn’t controlled
3) they have a higher risk of morbidity and mortality from uncontrolled asthma

So NO, I don’t want to auto refill their prescription. They need a follow up!

Gaps in medicine signal a call to fill those gaps with ethical, equitable, and competent science and patient care.

Gaps in medicine doesn’t justify filling those gaps with exploitation and pseudoscience under the guise of wellness and functional/alternative/integrative medicine.

There are NO concerns with someone having an egg allergy receiving their flu shot. We get asked about this annually. No problems. No concerns. None. And for embellishment, I like to point out that even the most sensitive of egg allergic patients can safely get their flu shot. 💉
