I don't think there is another series that makes me as sad as Breath of Fire.
They're easily some of my favorite RPGs, and what I love about each one is how they always try something new and different with each installment.
But, it sadly died like many others...with a shameless mobile sequel

You know, it's always funny to think back to your oldest gaming memories and realize how dumb you used to be.
Like for me, two of those memories are not realizing how to leave the house in Pokemon Fire Red and my complete inability to do the ship segment in Wind Waker.

So in FF1, the Evil Eye enemy was changed for western releases because of copyright fears. Originally, the enemy was named the Beholder and was inspired by DnD, as was much of Final Fantasy in general.

You know, I really appreciate the direction that Metaphor took Heismay because they could've very easily made him another atlas mascot character like Teddy or Morgana, but instead he's actually the adult of the group, the father/mentor figure.

Wow, Byakko is going to be an incredibly easy Unreal grind. Went in with a mostly blind group, had 13 deaths and still cleared.

So for all my fellow FFXIV players, don't neglect the hall of novice update. It has a new exp ring.

You know, I wish more games had harder difficulties like Terraria's Expert Mode that actually change the experience.

- Better Drop Rates
- Exclusive Items
- An Extra Accessory Slot
It encourages you to try it by offering something new and different, and I love it.

This is easily one of the best roguelikes I have played in a long time. Highly recommend it for anyone that likes the genre.
