8/8 It’s unlikely—but not impossible—that russia ends up playing mind games and making small compromises just to help Trump and appear to act in good faith. They aren’t acting in good faith. Don’t expect peace in Ukraine anytime soon because russia doesn’t want it
Everybody wants peace but Russia CANNOT AFFORD PEACE at this stage. Russia is too far in to cut their losses and yet not far enough to secure their gains (impose regime change, disarmament...).
In 2025, peace can't be negotiated, only imposed.
