Heartily - and maybe fartily - recommend this YouTube channel for its hot takes on psychogeography, New Wave SF (not sci-fi!), psychedelia, transgressive fic, dub, folk horror and music journalism when it was still a thing and done by proper writers like Jon Savage.

Labour's swing to the far right indirectly praised by Tommy Robinson. Is it just his ilk that needs to be stopped or those actually in control of the racist and totalitarian state apparatuses? Thanks to Nick Robinson for highlighting.

Okay now apologise for your smearing of Corbyn, your parroting of government propaganda relating to disastrous wars, your doctoring of footage of the Miners' Strike, your tedious and brown-nosing coverage of the Royal Family Inc. and a million other things.

This must pose a dilemma to the thoroughly modern fash that's embraced Zionism and remains poppy-fanatical. Maybe in their eyes these are the wrong kind of veterans, though.

Hardback of my next next book available to pre-order including through the Daily Mail website which is ironic since there's at least one joke at their expense in the book.

Never been convinced by Bowen's grizzled and portentous "I've been everywhere, man" shtick which is just another conceit to conceal his hidebound hegemony-hugging.

Once again, Jeremy Bowen is misleading the British public about Gaza
The BBC international editor is required to report what Hamas actually thinks. Otherwise he is not a journalist, he's just another western propagandist

NATO has always been a violent and oppressive outfit, whose origins embodied the continuities between Western imperialism and its fascist descendants. The attempts by liberals to launder this are unconvincing. Ask a Libyan, a Serb or an Afghan.

Is the time now ripe for the centrist professional managerial class to take to the streets? Bland fanatics in lycra cycling outfits painting the EU and NATO flags on roundabouts, chanting "Give me neoliberal technocracy or give me death!" and building shrines to James O'Brien and Polly Toynbee.

Liberalism and fascism are two mutually compatible technologies of control under capitalism. It makes no sense to bemoan one side of the equation and not the other, as Hamid Bendaas suggests here.
