I didn't think that anything in the MTG world could make me tear up but Kai Budde was truly a pillar of the MTG community. In victory and defeat, he had sly grin and good sportsmanship, and showed the same one even when he was announcing his terminal cancer. His good example reaches beyond the game

This, absolutely this. 20 dollars for a pack and competitive deck is amazing.
I feel like people just like to be upset online. Complaining about $2000 CC decks is one thing but now $20 silver age decks that come with a bonus pack are too expensive? Come. on.
Cards still cost money to print not to mention packaging, shipping, dev time and marketing.

Not to say that my personal favorite deck ever is Ira or Zen with Zephyr Needles, but that hypothetical player now has nowhere to go all so 34 people could play in the “premier” format

I love the concept of LL in #fabtcg, but I think the format is a huge miss right now and I don’t understand LSS’ vision for it. I trust LSS to try and fix it, but I hope they do it before it peters out beyond recovery. Is it supposed to be the Wild West? Or is it a place I can play old CC decks?
