I come from a long family history of veterans and while they were proud to serve their country, they felt no pride in what they saw or what they had to do.

May this entire administration burn in the eternal flames of Hell.

I think the time is NOW to encourage @aoc.bsky.social to primary the current complacent complicit senate minority “leader” who continues to rely on his brother, Robert, a longtime partner at complacent complicit Paul Weiss.
NY deserves a strong, fierce Senator.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

My only hope is when we get new party leadership.
Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

Tapper: Angus King said standing up to Donald Trump didn't work.

Sanders: Maybe Angus didn't notice the elections on Tuesday. I thought that they worked pretty well.

80% of Democratic voters want a new leader in the Senate.

Does that matter at all to Democratic senators?

So @schumer.senate.gov really thinks we don’t understand that he orchestrated this by getting senators not up for re-election to vote yes?

I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not.

This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.

“If this resolution passes tonight, we are on our way to throwing 15 million Americans off of Medicaid and the affordable care act.”

I'm pretty upset that we had so much momentum from last week's elections, and everyone was blaming the Republicans for the shutdown

It looked like we're bound to win the shutdown soon... and then some senate Democrats just said caved out of nowhere and said, "Okay whatever you want Daddy Trump" 😤😡🤬

Sanders: Let’s be clear… If this vote succeeds, over 20 million Americans are going to see at least a doubling in their premiums… if resolution is passed tonight, we are on a path way to throw 15 million Americans off of medicaid and the affordable care act, 15 million.

Basically, the GOP and Trump had to fu*king concede nothing to get Dems to cave?

YOU USED US FOR OUR VOTES TUESDAY JUST TO TURN AROUND AND FU*K US OVER ON A SUNDAY WHEN WE CAN'T WEIGH IN?

You are not meeting this moment.
