I just watched my granddaughter graduate from kindergarten. I am crying. Crying because she is our last grandchild and she is growing up so quickly, but mostly crying because I am so fearful for the future of the country she is growing up in. It didn’t have to be this way.

I’m a born and raised Catholic. I love the ritual of the mass. I am a “lapse” Catholic looking for a reason to return. I admired Pope Francis but not convinced. I’m hoping that Pope Leo can convince me to return to the only religion I know. I want to belong where everyone is loved and accepted.
