Science needs crazies, with each one included to the extent that they get things correct. Scientists should have no problem with shutting out outsiders who do little but lie, but because they shun weirdos like me en masse, they risk both missing genuine insight and misunderstanding the liars.
Not sure if you even need NCT. Genes are not the fundamental parts of biological organisms, because they merely secure the upkeep and reproduction of patterns in cell metabolisms. Culture can't just affect genes and/or relative and absolute reproduction rates. I've written briefly about it before.
As for reproduction: after reading link.springer.com/article/10.1... I much later got the idea that in proto-life, survival begat growth which then begat reproduction, all to maintain and spread sub-biotic trends over bigger scales. So a REAL reductionist would have to talk in terms of that.

If you're working in a politically salient science (like sociology and biology), then you gotta examine the most dissident-coded positions as well as the currently most popular ones. If you haven't studied "cranks" comprehensively, you're probably underestimating their reliance on the mainstream.

Certain seemingly metaphysical or logical statements may just be methods or very confident bets. For example, physicalist metaphysics is unfounded like all metaphysics is, but if you're not spiritual, have you ever seen any entity that isn't at least physical or a hallucination?

The hypocrisy always pisses me off. There's nothing inherently right or wrong by most people's standards with most things, weighted by a combination of salience and likelihood of people encountering. Goes for not being strictly hetero, or even just dudes having a curious or "not gay" fun.
How long before the ones spamming the sentiment the most get outed as the fruitiest people imaginable? No matter how good, benign or evil something is, as long as some people across classes want it, you can bet some of them do it. And the more generally taboo they make it, the more they do it.

Anyone who says something like this is almost certainly a shill for elite aggression. "It's just, like, society and culture, maaaaaaan!" WHO made society like this? WHO was the greatest influence by far? WHO has been proven to want to engineer the world so much, all to snoop on and control people?
no, i know i'm in a trap and it's never been a wholly willing choice but it's not the "elites" it's a society and cultural trap that cannot be fought against without people willing reject these imported imperialist ways. An official position is something I've advocated for but that's not up to me.

"But human nature!" What proportion of appeals to "human nature" are earnest tries at describing our most stubborn behaviours and traditions + demonstrate their stubbornness? Ignore enough actual and potential variationm and you can always find a scarcely changeable core, but WHAT is it?
