Some of them really DO want that, so long as they marginally helped the big guys to hurt someone who didn't deserve it. The rest will hear "YOU DID IT TO YOURSELVES". Under encroaching elitist control, it's really ever less our fault. Elitists will NEVER admit that, let alone that it's THEIR fault.

And yes, Trump relied on a proud and superficially contrarian image to win over enough pissed off voters, and the "that's you, that's what you wanted all along" nudging made many of them take even more bait. And "lib" media reinforced that by demonizing them while acting cuckoo. Probably deliberate.

You kinda got a point. Some supporters are "tactical", some vote over and/or for very specific things, some just hate the Dems more... I dunno what offsets letting King Orange and his cronies run the country into the dirt and steal the goods, but I'm just one fool.

Unless medical institutions (medical staff + people and tech that support them) become independent from elites, elitists and evil opportunists, we'll be stuck with "hard choices", frightening decisions made in "your best interests", and sneers from abusers in a "broken" system working as intended.

We count as biological creatures. We have biologies, and if you influence them, you influence us in very profound ways. It's easy to hack an addiction into someone and say "it wasn't MY fault evolution and free choice did that". We have tech to do so much, but elites and opportunists won't let us.

The MRAs can't get enough of evopsych, and there were fights about non-racial groupings in "woke" discourse (trans, physically disabled, neurodiverse...) regarding who "REALLY" counts and whether or not it requires a doctor's say-so.

It's even more obvious considering the centrality of biology and cybernetics to much of modern political discourse. "Race realist" guys LOVE cognitive epidemiology. "Biological determinism" remains an edgy STEM fashion despite the muddled sops against it in academic literature.

Historically, doctors and "public health" types were among the most fervent modern political types. Many were Nazis and Eugenicists. That only seemed to halt because few wanted to be called a Nazi, not even English-speaking Eugenicists who mainly disagreed with the precise methods and ideology.

It's hard to find an institution that serves millions of people and doesn't have an elite faction as an important stakeholder, even if it's one the institution swerves around. Add managerial, STEM and healthcare-related ideological fads into the mix, and it's even worse for the everyman.

There will always be an alien "medical gaze" for as long as healthcare providers are run for and by elites. We're extremely lucky to have anything even approaching that, and Brits are even luckier that they can get it free at point of use. Doesn't stop evil moneymen jacking up prices.

Without powerful assholes baiting and goading us to torture each other, we would largely stick to ourselves and mostly associate with each other over shared activities from love to nerdy recreation. They can't stand other people's independence: they want us to live, act, kill and die on their terms.

That's why elites barely give a shit about veterans while they loudly feign care for anyone else who's supposedly oppressed, whether or not they actually are. And that screws over all low-status people in the long run, because few will take important struggles seriously.

The slaughter generally of "low-status" people IS THE POINT. Doesn't matter if it's "the browns over there" or "the (lesser of the) chosen". Wars are a really quick way to do it, with mountains of plausible deniability, excuses, innovation for elites, and violent industrial restructuring.

Rulers' ideas always rule, and among the ruled, we increasingly hold only ideas they actively let us have. They've long rigged most large intellectual and political institutions to serve them. And fake dissidents bait non-conformists who'd otherwise help the real ones, who have less to work with.

I think we should default to being far more specific about how we express ourselves. Let's use the countless labels with far less ambiguous meanings in everyday talk, and where we have to do legal stuff, let's push for rights on the basis of what we actually wanna do and don't want others to do.

The best use for "gender" is to denote a vague summary of our self-image. Using it in legal contexts wherever we need to be precise or care about specific things which we conventionally relate to that vague concept is what exclusionary types want. They can then moan "the law means ANYTHING now".

"Gender" really is a silly word for which few actually agree on the meaning. Basing core tenets of an organized movement on words defined in practice using vague vibes or restrictions which don't suit everyone doesn't fit with its supposed non-exclusionary character. Let's BE non-exclusionary.
