Fistral beach was rammed yesterday 95% surfers and bodyboarders. Big waves and lots of wiping out were the result. It wasn't a day for improvement, more like just staying on!

This device detects the direction of a blast, it had four pieces of photographic paper in it corresponding with NESW. A blast would leave an image on one of the papers. To be able to report this to command one of the 3 staff had to go up and get it! #Cornwall

Fun fact if a nuclear weapon detonates above ground there is hardly any fall-out generated. 🎉🥳

The lifeguard said that a group of women and men who turned up in swimming costumes called us soft for wearing wetsuits, but they only stayed in for 20 mins. We were in for 1hr and 15. Ha suckers, they got froze out by the incredibly strong winds! 😆

Went to Booby's Bay yesterday bodyboarding. 3 to 4ft clean waves predicted and they were more like 5 to 6 which was perfect. Wore wetsuits for the first time which makes a massive difference to how long you can stay in. Hardly missed a wave. Knackered now though!
