The Trump administration is attempting to weaken the Endangered Species Act with a proposal to narrow its definition of “harm.” But this ignores the reality that if we lost forests, wetlands and other habitats to industry, we’d also lose the wildlife that depend on them.

Senate Democrats proposed amendments last night to protect the key programs this administration is trying to cut.

Instead of supporting Social Security or SNAP benefits — like so many Republicans said they do — they voted against them.

The American people deserve better.
