NGC1333 - on the right, a bright reflection nebula about 1000 light years away in the Perseus Molecular Cloud. It is surrounded by Dark Nebula Barnard 205. Upper left is the star-forming region IC 348 and Dark Nebula Barnard 3.

The Lobster Claw Nebula (Sh2-157), a bright emission nebula about 11,000 light-years away in Cassiopeia. Also, the Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) and the Northern Lagoon nebula (NGC 7538).

Sh2-150 - a faint emission nebula about 2,900 light-years away in the constellation Cepheus. Along side is VdB154, a blue reflection nebula with unkown exact distance. The larger H II emission region is Sh2-145 and it contains several dark nebula.

The Wolf's Cave Nebula (VDB 152) is a bright reflection nebula at the tip of dark nebula LDN 1217 located in the constellation Cepheus. It is located about 1400 light-years away and is named after the German astronomer Max Wolf.

The Rosette Nebula (NGC2237) - a large emission nebula in the constellation Monoceros about 5000 light-years from Earth. Among the gas and dust are several star forming regions including the center open star cluster, NGC2244.

M45 Pleiades - an open cluster of stars that can easily be seen in a dark location. Hot blue light reflects off dust in the constellation Taurus. Known as the Seven Sisters, it holds cultural significance around the world since ancient times.

Sh2-115 is a faint emission nebula located in the constellation Cygnus about 7,500 light years away. Also shown is planetary nebula Abell 71 which is about 2,400 light years away.

The Elephant's Trunk Nebula is a concentration of gas and dust within the larger IC1396 region located in the constellation Cepheus, 2,400 light years away.
