I'm not as harsh on Florida Georgia Line as most, but I still have a few unpopular opinions:

* I like it when duos don't have "X and Y" names
* Brian had more studio presence than Kix did on most B&D songs
* Confession and May We All were both better than Dirt
* I didn't mind Sun Daze

By my count, I have found SEVEN songs that made the Hot Country Songs charts since 2000 for which I cannot find a recording anywhere. The most recent is "I Love Women My Mamma Can't Stand" by Jerrod Niemann, released in 2007.

And as said yesterday, three of those seven are by Chad Brock.

It’s probably for the better I didn’t get to attend the Opry when I was in Nashville last week.

Ricky Skaggs was there and I guarantee I’d have walked the fuck out upon seeing him.

Ever since @countryuniverse.net reviewed "Yes!", I can't help but think of the ultimate damnation of Chad Brock's career:

He has not one, but THREE charted singles that, as far as I can tell, are completely unavailable to listen to anywhere online.

FOUR if you count a Canadian-exclusive duet.

What’s worse than a Jason Aldean song?

One of those shitty Spotify AI covers of a Jason Aldean song.

I heard it at Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop, too.

Is it just me or did Big Machine give like no publicity to Jackson Dean? Only one of his songs has a Wikipedia article, and I don’t recall his album charting or getting reviewed.

I'm still a cynical grouch at times, but I feel @countryuniverse.net's "Every #1" has helped me see positive traits even in songs I disliked.

Kevin SOLD me on "I Hope You Dance", a song I previously loathed out of the gate.

Others I haven't ended up LIKING, but at least respecting a tad more.

I still maintain that three things keep Patty Loveless from having a perfect track record with me: her dry-ass covers of "Tear Stained Letter" and "Lovin' All Night", and her clashing BGVs on "Monday Morning Church".

In 2023, @shadowtodd.bsky.social pointed out that, despite having six charted singles at the time, Grupo Frontera still did not have a Wikipedia page until I made it. This is by far the biggest oversight I've seen on a modern artist, and I wonder what caused them to slip through the cracks.

I am still blown away by Sammy Kershaw's shockingly strong taste in songwriters. Who else can say they recorded songs by Dewayne Blackwell, Bob McDill, Dennis Linde, Mac McAnally, Kostas, Mark D. Sanders, Skip Ewing, AND Dean Dillon? And that's just among his singles.

Even with Chapel Hart broken up, I'm still glad that I:

* Created their Wikipedia article AND got it to "Good Article"
* Saw them in concert at least once
* Convinced WATZ to add "You Can Have Him Jolene"

I am amazed at how Eli Young Band's version of "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" sounds note-for-note like Will Hoge's original, yet simultaneously sounds about 500 times worse.

I feel like the only music critic who's ever noticed the near-total absence of Kix Brooks in most Brooks & Dunn songs.

In half their songs he sings like, maybe one barely audible phrase of harmony in the chorus and that's it.
