Its so fuckin cute that this is what Christians think persecution is, even as they lock people up in alligator auchwitz they can't help but cry about how they are the real victims for being called out for it

As long as they actually believe they are righteous in doing so... yes! That's how some armies have been formed. Reminds me of that guy who was aiming for Christians in America doing so

I'm just surprised it was a woman
Ryan Walters, the Oklahoma schools chief who wants bibles in the classroom and Christianity taught to kids, just got caught watching adult content.

On his work computer.

During a Board of Education meeting.

Read that again.

Ryan Walters' TV displayed "nude women" during a meeting. Now he's blaming the media.

The Christian groups doing bad things at scale are open Christian supremacists, but any of us insisting those bad things prove they aren't actually Christian is *also* engaging in Christian supremacy.

Christians can be bad people. Of course they can. Why should one group be exempt from that?

The structural focus on evangelism in Christianity means that it’s always going to default to protecting the brand over holding itself accountable.

The Great Commission makes it, first and foremost, a marketing-focused ideology.
Any political party that claims to represent Christianity should be held more accountable by Christians, not less.

Or.... you know. This is what Christians really are. Those saying otherwise are selling propaganda 🤷‍♂️

Anyone claiming "real" Christianity with no power to drive the larger agenda is blissfully ignorant. I could say "real nazis are about love, unlike those fake nazis" but it doesn't make it true.

Christianity is as Christianity does. Like it or not, the people who claim the mantle of Christianity represent Christianity, even if it contradicts what we think Christianity should be. @swajdan.bsky.social has discussed this on the Straight White American Jesus podcast at some length.
