I remember someone posting how Bowser in the SMW style in Mario Maker looks off and the top comment was how SMW doesn’t really have a set art style and I’ve never looked at the game the same way again.

Super Mario World has an extremely eclectic art style whereby many enemies are drawn in completely different ways. Development files reveal Mario went through many stylistic changes; it is possible that all the enemies were made to fit Mario, but at different points in time.

This. THIS. Normie friends always mention how furries must be rich to buy art and suits (and like any demographic, I'm sure *a few* are) but for most it's a passion that they work hard and save for, and they *value artwork and artists*.
This fandom has a reputation for being "suspiciously wealthy" but the truth is most furries just love and value art and people so much that they want to use their money for art and supporting artists so they can make a living doing what they love. It's a cycle of genuine passion I think.
