A beacon of light in a world of darkness, and totally shitty.
Buy a wig, go get some work done at a Thomas Road esthetician, and show up shitfaced.

This is just incredible. Adelita Grijalva can't do her job because Johnson hasn't sworn her in. She can't get into her office. She can't hire staff. She isn't getting paid.
Johnson: "Grijalva should be working for her constituents right now. I don't know what she's doing. I keep seeing their political stunt videos. She should be in her office. She should be working or in the district for her constituents" (Grijalva is not in fact a Rep. b/c Johnson refuses to seat her)

The Trump administration has been spreading anti-vaccine propaganda for months. Tonight, Trump's physician announced he just received a flu shot and a COVID booster.

I would love to be part of the conversation on MSNBC related to the Kimmel story and it's chilling effects on first amendment, but unfortunately I was terminated by MSNBC for stating that "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words which lead to hateful actions".

Cowardly Disney Caves To Brendan Carr’s Bogus Censorial Threats, Pulling Jimmy Kimmel
There are multiple ways into this story, but almost all of the reporting on what’s happened claims that Disney pulled talk show host Jimmy Kimmel’s show “indefinitely” over comments that Kimmel made about Charlie Kirk. But that leads most people to assume that Kimmel said something unkind about Kirk or in some way celebrated his death. But he did not. You can see the segment here (assuming Disney doesn’t pull it):

Love to frame a high schooler believing he’s owed something for being white and being justified in questioning changing demographics of his school like that’s fine and normal.

I agree. I never want a client’s admission to be at the whim of a CBP officer, which is a great reason to look at alternatives to B and VWP wherever possible. There were alternatives in this specific case and I bet Hyundai, LG, their subs, and every other major manufacturer wished they’d used them.

I think you’re approaching this as if you believe I’m supporting the ICE action here. I’m not. It was completely unjustified and I fully agree they probably picked up a lot of workers who were well within the regs.

Having worked in this sector and seen other automotive manufacturers face this exact issue (under Biden), we moved to use of L and blanket L.

There are specific carveouts for installation and service/repair after sale. If those weren’t at issue here (that’s an if, so calm yourself down), then these workers would have had problems with every administration’s application of the B regs this century.

I was thinking this morning about how performative it all is. Playing both the aggressor and victim roles is the centerpiece of rightwing ideology. That closed loop inevitably feeds on itself, largely thanks to their militant obsession with guns.

To be clear, they shouldn’t have been using the VWP to engage in productive work in the US. That said, group moves like this frequently rely on consular guidance/assistance which begs the question of whether they were directed toward the use of VWP over, say, the L program by government officials.

Kirk didn't serve in the military or hold office. The war hero treatment -- half-mast flags, military guard, Air Force Two escort, calls for a statue at the Capitol or to lie in the Rotunda -- shows that for MAGA, service to Trump has become the highest, most honorable form of service.
