Mets being vindictive towards 30 year old Pete Alonso reminds me so much of sitting vigil and listening to my transistor radio all night on June 15, 1977 when they traded Tom Seaver in their “Midnight Massacre" that we #Mets fans still are not over. RESIGN PETE!

Did you know the #Mets finished 2024 just 5 games behind the Yankees and we didn’t have our ace and Alonso had a “down year” (please) with 34 HR 88 RBI? Stop the Soto-envy, re-sign Pete, and fill the other needs at a fraction of the $700 million that’s being reported!
